Medical Director Core CurriculumCore I Core II Core III**update: As of the August 2024 Board Meeting, The AMPA Board approved a change to the Core Curriculum to include a virtual component. Please review the individual pages above for the new course listings. A core curriculum process is relevant to the success of physicians managing critical care air and ground medical transport teams. AMPA's Core Curriculum is designed by experienced leaders in the field. This program goes beyond clinical knowledge to tackle the real-world responsibilities of medical direction—quality and safety, regulatory compliance, operations, leadership, and program development. Whether you’re new to the role or looking to sharpen your impact, you’ll walk away with practical tools, clearer decision-making frameworks, and insights you can implement immediately. The Core Curriculum is offered in three parts, which do not need to be taken consecutively, and covers topics in Principles and Direction of Air Medical Transport, a publication of AMPA. The sessions will be of interest to physicians just starting as medical directors, as well as those who are experienced. This educational offering also offers an opportunity for physicians to network and presents a forum for interactive discussion. The AMPA Medical Director Core Curriculum is recognized and recommended by CAMTS as background training for a Medical Director of a critical care transport program that is applying for accreditation or undergoing reaccreditation. |
